The special monaural playback functionality (NEW MONO mode) of the New Monaural separately mixes and channels sound to the left and right ear for those with unilateral hearing loss. If in the AirPods settings, the Automatic Ear Detection is turned on (default setting) and the AirPods is worn to only one ear, the OS will automatically produce monaural sound and the intended sound quality of the application will not be reproduced.

Please wear the AirPods to both ears for use.
